So my comic is finally up for battle this month on www.Zuda.com, It's about Serge a kid who wants to be a hero, only to find out he doesn't know the meaning of the word.

Please go read my comic and if you like it, VOTE, COMMENT, RATE, FAVORITE, then SHARE IT, I need every ounce of help I can get, as the talent for this competition sure is good, so if you can blog, tweet, facebook it, ANYTHING to share with your friends, I'd REALLY appreciate it. Sentai Contest
So for this month I'm holding a contest in celebration of OHKO, and to help the traffic flow.
Design a sentai character, good? Bad? Neutral? Just needs to have an awesome suit. There will be 8 winners

So I'll be at MoCCA NY Comics and Cartoon festival this weekend, you can find me with awesome badasses such as Becky Dreistadt, Frank Gibson, Rebecca Sugar, and Ned Hugar.

I won't have a whole lot to sell, my printer is in bad shape, and I'll be putting all my focus on mini art books I'll be making myself. I think the rest of what I have might be left over con stuff like buttons, and bookmarks. I'll probably give away free doodle caricatures, but I don't mind taking tips! :D

After I get back I finish up my Popgun 4 story, rework-resubmit my Zuda entry, and get ontop of this horror story i'm working on, before the end of June! So much to do...
Oh and this summer I'll be teaching at a few summer library programs. But I've recently set up a Ustream so people can watch me draw ( watch my twitter for when my shows are on ) ...I think when I'm ahead of schedule, I'll try to show people online some of my ideas and techniques. Maybe upload some of it to youtube!

I really don't have anything else to report sadly, I do have my hands full, and trying to squeak in a few matches of Punch Out!! When I'm not drawing, I sure do love that game.

I lost instantly for doing my Zuda in the wrong format. Hahah kind of funny right?

And I just wanted to clear up why I did the format I did, ( I knew it was a gamble, but I honestly didn't think I'd get
rejected on the basis. ) What I wanted to do was give the reader PLENTY of story, my least favorite Zuda comics, are
the ones where not a lot happens in the 8 pages, but I was afraid if I crammed too many panels, it wouldn't read in a
Z flow, and I might have to make the reader, read backwards, or figure out some other unfamiliar way to read the comic.
I wasn't planning on submitting this anywhere else, this story is just for zuda. I had also thought that I was making use
of the Zuda page viewer, because I personally don't like reading at 800x600 I was planning for the bigger format
I wanted people to scroll through the comic at 1100xwhatever, once on one side then flip a page, for a long reading experience.

But now I can share my comic with all of you, I poured alot of hardwork into this, only to totally blow it. Although I am a little disappointed,
I am a little relieved if I do an 8 page comic I won't have to do this amount of work ever again then cram it into 8 pages.

I hope you enjoyed it, let me know what you think so I can fix this up for a remake and re-challenge ZUDA.

Belated NYCC post!

-back from NYCC, a few things looked promising for me, I actually got a portfolio review with DC ( I was a little suprised ), they want me to go for ZUDA before anything else....Actually I had made a Zuda comic way back to make a stand....But I didn't like my pages even though they were already done so I didn't submit them.

But I had a great time, I talked for a really long time with a good friend and super talented comic artist, :icontsulala: and I have a new direction. new inspirations, and a new attack plan to improve my work all thanks to her. She's a big bakuman fan too. Did I mention i LOVE Bakuman? it gets me SO FIRED UP!!

Also I met alot of super cool people at NYCC, as soon as I get a chance I'll try to respond to everyones emails and give a few phone calls out....after I finish some commissions and a side project, I think I'll gun for ZUDA, with a revised story with new designs.

Oh Oh!! http://www.popguncomics.com/ Anyone who's super cool should check this out, a lot of my art friends have done comics in POPGUN, and it's always a really awesome book. I'll be in POPGUN3!

Honestly, I don't care much for actual labels for my art such as "manga" "oel" "cartoons" "comics" ...I think they give people the wrong idea,and the definitions are so subjective so instead I dub my own style. SHARKFIST!

This is definately an improvement over my last comic Bombos Vs. Everything, but I feel if I were to work on it now with a little more time than i had on it originally it'd be a million times better given i am working more with brushes and working on a 11x17 size now (THANK YOU 13x19 PRINTER!!/SCANNER!! ). Still The story of this book is good, the artists are awesome, It's got ghosts, ghostbusters in drag and F14s!!! The books only 12 bucks in the store while being in a bigger format than most manga ( 6x9" ) So I really think this is a good buy.

I always feel shitty when i just wake up...ughhh. But here it goes.

Went to Baltimore Comic Con, hung out with some good friends, won a contest thing to have a portfolio sit down thing with Jim Lee, came home and drew more things.

Characters from my Secret of Noumenon story, ill be making a pilot for, on the tokyopop website. I'll need help hyping it when its done :T
